EVENT DESCRIPTION: High school students in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in the AI High School Challenge at Minnesota State Moorhead. The event is free to attend and includes lunch. As a school official, we invited you to register a team (or two!) of up to five students. Individual students can also sign up and will be placed on teams.

During this full-day event, students will work in teams to solve a real-world community challenge using AI tools provided for the competition. Throughout the day, teams will develop their solutions and prepare presentations, which they’ll share with a panel of judges. Students will participate in Learning Sessions learning about ethical AI use, how to work with large language models (LLMs), and how to develop and present their ideas. Top teams will win prizes, including scholarships for students and a special award for the winning team’s school to support its AI initiatives.

This event is free to attend and lunch is included, but registration is limited to 10 teams. Registration will close on Monday, October 27th or once team registration has been reached. Please contact tourmsum@mnstate.edu with questions!
